  • No Chiller, 55 kg

    Air-Cooled Handheld Laser Welding Machine

When the job is on site, in a lift shaft or at the back of a repair bay, a water circuit is one more thing to go wrong. This build trades the chiller for forced-air cooling and drops to 55 kg, while keeping the four-in-one tool set and 800W to 2000W of welding power.

    Inside the Air-Cooling Path

Removing the chiller does not remove the need to manage heat. This is where the heat goes instead.

    01

    Heat to the Sink

Heat from the source and the drive electronics conducts into bonded heatsinks.

    02

    Forced Convection

Fans draw ambient air across the fins, and the moving air carries the heat away.

    03

    Ducted Exhaust

Warmed air leaves through ducted vents so it does not recirculate inside the cabinet.

    04

    Thermal Steady State

Once the flow balances the heat load, the machine holds its recipe without a water loop.

    Air-Cooled: What You Gain

Lighter cabinet, no water to top up or freeze, no pump or filter to replace, and far simpler transport. Ideal for site work, maintenance and light-to-medium sheet.

    Water-Cooled: When to Choose It

A closed water loop holds higher power for longer continuous duty and tighter temperature control. For all-day, high-power production, the water-cooled builds of this range are the better fit.

    Overview

Portability Without Losing the Tool Set

Air cooling is not a stripped-down version of the platform. It is the same four-in-one concept sized for movement: welding, cleaning, cutting and seam finishing in a cabinet that one person can wheel to the work.

    • 55 kg cabinetRoughly half the weight of a water-cooled build, so a single operator can position it.
    • No chiller to feedNothing to top up, drain or protect from frost, which suits outdoor and remote work.
    • Dual useRun it as a full four-in-one system, or as a laser welder on its own if that is all the job needs.
    • Wide input toleranceA single-phase 110V or 220V supply at 50 or 60 Hz covers most sites.

The datasheet names the second build KR-LW1000A while listing its output as 1200W, so the model code and the rated power do not match on that unit. Fiber length, gun weight and power setting are confirmed per order. Ask us for a datasheet matched to your material and thickness.

    Core Advantages

    Why Workshops Choose Air Cooling

Three gains that come the moment the chiller is engineered out.

    Lower Maintenance

No pump, filter, coolant or water lines. Fewer moving parts mean fewer failures and a lower running cost over the year.

    Ready to Move

At 55 kg with no reservoir to drain, the cabinet can be loaded into a van and set up on a new site the same day.

    Safer by Default

Automatic shut-off when the nozzle leaves the workpiece, plus a safety cable and control handle on the gun.

    Operating Routine

    Pack, Deploy, Weld, Finish

The air-cooled build is designed around getting to the work quickly.

    01

    Deploy

Wheel or carry the cabinet to the part and connect a single-phase supply.

    02

    Prepare the Joint

Clean the seam with the cleaning head and set the wobble pattern and gas flow.

    03

    Weld

Run the seam with the wobble head, adding filler wire where the joint needs it.

    04

    Finish On Site

Dress the seam with the cleaning head so the part can be handed over without a trip to the shop.

    Applications

Work That Cannot Come to the Bench

Air cooling earns its place wherever the machine has to travel to the job.

    Automotive Repair

Body panels and brackets welded in the bay, with the seam dressed in the same visit.

    Construction & Site Work

Railings, frames and installed metalwork welded where they stand, with no water supply needed.

    Electronics & Cookware

Stainless and aluminium parts where a clean, low-distortion seam matters more than raw thickness.

    Aerospace & Machinery

Field repairs on machinery and light aerospace parts, with controlled heat input kept portable.

    Maintenance Departments

One mobile unit covers welding, cleaning and trimming jobs across a whole plant.

    Rental & Service Fleets

Lower maintenance and no coolant to manage make air-cooled units easier to keep on the road.

    Ordering & Support

    FAQ

    Air-Cooled Welder Questions

Fans move ambient air across heatsinks bonded to the hot components, and the warmed air leaves through ducted vents. Forced convection carries the heat away, so there is no water circuit, no pump and no coolant to replace.

It is lighter, more portable and cheaper to maintain, because there is no chiller, pump, filter or coolant to service. The trade-off is that a water-cooled unit holds higher power for longer continuous duty.

Depending on the power setting, the machine welds material up to 6.35 mm and cuts sheet up to 6 mm. Power ranges from 800W to 2000W across the four models.

Laser welding on this platform runs up to about four times faster than conventional TIG welding. Less heat enters the part, so there is less distortion to correct afterwards.

The gun has a 10 mm clear aperture and X and Y wobble of 0 to 5 mm, oscillating at up to 20,000 mm/s. That pattern bridges small gaps and lets the operator weld into corners and narrow gaps.

The machine includes an automatic shut-off when the nozzle is moved away from the workpiece, along with a safety cable and control handle. Safety gloves and a welding helmet should be worn as standard practice.

Standard production is about five working days, with express transit adding roughly four to six working days. The machine carries a 2-year warranty with free replacement parts and English online support for the life of the unit. Volume terms are agreed per order.
