Drilling & Tapping Center BR600
High-speed 20,000 rpm spindle and a 1.6 s tool change for drilling, tapping and light milling of aluminium, electrodes and small steel parts.
View detailsSeven milling machines cover the distance between a 400 mm electronics part and a three-tonne machine frame. A drilling and tapping centre runs thousands of holes per shift, vertical machining centres and vertical mills cut moulds and metal components inside a column, and gantry mills carry the workpiece on a fixed bed under a moving bridge. Pick the architecture first, then the travel, spindle and tool magazine.
Drilling and tapping centres, vertical machining centres and gantry mills all rotate a tool against a workpiece, but they move very differently — and that decides which parts each one turns into profit.
Listed from the fastest small-part machine to the largest gantry build. Every model is available with a choice of CNC control and tooling package.

Values are transcribed from the parameter tables of each datasheet. The VMC650 description text references a 24-station magazine while its parameter table lists 16, and the BR600 datasheet shows both a dual spindle-speed figure and two spindle-power ratings; the parameter tables are used above. Confirm travel, spindle option and control before ordering.
One platform serves very different shops. These are the four most common production patterns.
Copper electrodes, phone moulds, resin patterns and precision mould inserts cut at high spindle speed with AI contour control for a fine surface finish.
Brackets, housings, connectors and die-cast components machined four or five faces in one setup, with deburring and chamfering of magnesium and aluminium castings.
Machine beds, press frames, mould bases and structural plates milled, drilled and bored on the gantry bed without re-clamping or moving the workpiece.
Jigs, fixtures, dies and general subcontract work where one machine has to move between small batches of different parts with fast changeover.
Large weldments, gearbox housings and track components finished on a gantry mill where the bed, not a table, carries the weight.
Small stainless and aluminium instrument parts needing tight tolerances, fine finishes and repeatable multi-hole drilling and tapping.
Match the architecture to the part. Small aluminium and electronic housings needing many holes and threads suit a drilling and tapping centre such as the BR600. General metal parts and moulds up to roughly 800 mm suit a vertical machining centre such as the VMC650 or VMC855, or a vertical milling machine such as the XH7132 or XK7136. Large plates, frames and moulds that will not swing inside a column machine suit a gantry mill such as the BR2516 or GMB2016. Send a drawing and we will confirm travel, spindle and tooling.
A vertical machining centre carries the workpiece on a moving table inside a column and travels 400 to 800 mm, so it is compact and fast for small to medium parts. A gantry mill fixes the workpiece on a large bed and moves the cross rail and spindle head across a bridge, so the table can carry several tonnes and the travel reaches 2500 to 4000 mm. Choose the vertical machine for speed on small parts and the gantry for size and weight.
The vertical machining centres, vertical milling machines and gantry mills use BT40 or BT50 tapers depending on the model, and the drilling and tapping centre uses a high-speed spindle. Tool magazines run from 10 and 12 stations on small mills to 16 and 24 stations on the machining centres and gantry mills, with both disc and arm changers available. We match taper and magazine capacity to your tool list.
Positioning accuracy ranges from plus or minus 0.003 mm per 300 mm on the BR600 drilling and tapping centre to plus or minus 0.008 mm on the vertical machining centres and vertical mills, and 0.010 mm per 1000 mm on the gantry mills. Repeatability is tighter still. Every machine is geometrically tested with a laser interferometer before packing, and the test record ships with the machine.
Standard models ship in 15 to 30 working days after deposit, and customised travel, spindle or control configurations take 30 to 45 working days. We provide English manuals, parameter files, live video commissioning and operator training, so most teams are cutting parts shortly after the machine is levelled and powered up.
Yes. Travel, spindle power and speed, spindle taper, tool magazine capacity, control system, table and clamping method, voltage and machine colour can all be specified, and we build OEM and ODM units under your brand. A customised machine is confirmed against a signed drawing and build sheet before production starts, and the first article is approved by you.
