Flat-Bed CNC Lathe CK6140
The compact flat-bed of the range: 400 mm swing, hardened ways and an electric four-station tool post for shafts and discs.
View modelWhen the parts get bigger but the shop still wants a level-bed layout, the CK6160 is the step up. It opens the swing to 600 mm over the bed and 350 mm over the cross slide, raises spindle torque, and adds the details that matter over a long service life: high-frequency hardened guideways, brand-name ball screws and forced automatic lubrication with a low-oil warning.
Four figures that decide whether this machine fits the part.
Torque and rigidity are raised to match the larger swing, so the machine holds its setting on disc parts and heavier stock.
The platform is built for stable performance and good accuracy retention, which is what a production turning shop needs.
A refined bed design keeps the machine compact for its swing, so it fits into a shop without an oversized footprint.
The CK6160 shares the flat-bed philosophy of the range but the bed is optimised for larger disc and shaft parts. The result is a compact machine that still offers 600 mm of swing and a strong, quiet spindle.
Every figure below comes from the machine datasheet. Optional items are marked and confirmed on the build sheet.

The source datasheet for the CK6160 lists the mechanical specification above and confirms GSK control, brand-name ball screws and high-precision screw bearings. Positioning and repeat positioning accuracy are verified by a geometric test on each machine before shipment rather than quoted as a single figure. Spindle bore, chuck, spindle speed form and bed length are all specified per order.
Two features carry the CK6160 over years of production: how the guideways are made, and how they are lubricated. Both are designed so accuracy does not depend on the operator remembering.
The bed and saddle guideways use a special hard material, high-frequency hardened, so they resist wear and keep machining accuracy good over a long life.
A high-precision bearing set is precisely assembled and dynamically balanced, giving accuracy, low noise and strong rigidity.
Well-known brand ball screws with high-precision screw bearings give dependable positioning on both axes.
Oil is delivered to the screws and guideways at fixed points in fixed quantities, with a warning signal if oil runs low or a fault appears.
Six published characteristics of the CK6160, and what each one means on the shop floor.
A refined bed keeps the machine compact for its swing, so it sits comfortably in a normal turning bay.
The spindle is built for torque and rigidity, which is what allows the larger parts to be cut without chatter.
The machine is designed for stable, reliable running and good accuracy retention rather than peak figures on paper.
High-frequency hardening gives the guideways the hardness and wear resistance that keep geometry in tolerance.
Precise assembly and dynamic balancing of the bearing set reduce noise and raise rotational accuracy.
Forced lubrication with an automatic warning signal protects the screws and guideways between services.
The routine follows the level-bed layout: clamp, set, run, check.
Load disc or shaft parts in the manual chuck, or feed bar through the 52 mm bore, then support the end on the tailstock.
Load the four-station tool post with 25 by 25 mm tools and enter the offsets for the job.
GSK control runs the profile and any threads, with rapid moves of 6000 and 8000 mm per minute between features.
Check the first part against the drawing and run the batch; hardened ways and forced lubrication hold the setting.
The CK6160 suits shops that need more swing and torque without moving to a different machine layout.

Larger disc parts faced, bored and turned outside diameter within the 600 mm swing, ready for drilling or assembly.
Shafts turned between centres on the MT5 tailstock, with tapers, radii and threads cut in one program.
Mixed turning work where the wider swing and higher torque replace a second machine for the larger parts.
Configuration is agreed before production and support does not depend on shipping the machine back to us.
The machine is packed on a braced skid in a container, with the bed and saddle secured for transport.
Levelling, alignment and trial cut are covered by drawings and remote video commissioning.
Parts covered, with free replacement components and lifetime engineering support for the life of the machine.
Chucks, collets, tool holders and a starter tooling set can be shipped with the machine.
The CK6160 suits disc parts and shaft parts. The optimised bed gives a 600 mm swing over the bed and 350 mm over the cross slide, so flanges, rings and housings fit comfortably, while the same machine turns straight and stepped shafts. It also cuts straight lines, arcs, metric and imperial threads and multi-start threads.
The spindle uses a high-precision bearing set that is precisely assembled and dynamically balanced, which delivers high accuracy, low noise and strong rigidity. The bed and saddle guideways are made from a special hard material, high-frequency hardened for high hardness and wear resistance, so machining accuracy is held over a long service life.
It supplies oil to the ball screws and guideways at fixed points in fixed quantities, so lubrication does not depend on an operator remembering to do it. If an abnormal condition or an oil shortage is detected, the system raises a warning signal automatically, which protects the guideways and the accuracy of the machine.
The machine uses GSK CNC control, together with brand-name ball screws and high-precision screw bearings. The combination gives reliable positioning and repeatable motion on both axes, and the control ships with an English interface and parameter set.
A brand-name manual chuck is fitted as standard, and the spindle has a 52 mm bore with an 80 mm option. An electric four-station tool post takes 25 by 25 mm tools, and the tailstock has a 65 mm quill on an MT5 taper with 130 mm of travel for supporting shaft work.
Standard builds ship in roughly 30 to 45 working days, with the 80 mm bore, stepless spindle or longer bed adding to that. Every machine is assembled, aligned and trial cut before packing, and we provide English manuals, a parameter file, video commissioning and remote operator training, with lifetime support after delivery.
For a smaller swing stay flat-bed; for faster cycles move to a slant bed. Compare them here, or see all CNC lathes.
