Vertical Ink Wheel Sealing Machine FRM-980LW

Seal and code in a single pass. The FRM-980LW runs the bag through a heated band, then rolls an ink wheel across the seam to emboss a date or batch code before the seal has time to cool — one machine, one operator, one completed pack.

    One Pass, Two Jobs

A Vertical Sealer That Prints While It Seals

Most coding is added after sealing, on a second machine and a second operator. The FRM-980LW folds both jobs into one unit: the bag is sealed, then embossed by the ink wheel as it leaves the heating zone, so the code is locked into the seam itself.

    • Unlimited sealing lengthThe bag is carried continuously by two moving bands, so long bags pass through without a length limit.
    • Vertical and horizontal useThe same machine seals a bag standing upright or fed flat, depending on your product.
    • Digital temperature controlSet the range from 0 to 300°C to match the film grade and thickness.
    • Robust frameFrame, speed control, heating, conveyor and embossing are built as one durable assembly.

Inside the Ink Wheel Printing Unit

Four moving parts turn a plain seal into a coded one, at full line speed.

    01

    Copper Block Heats

About a minute after switch-on the heated block reaches working temperature, and the setting is held by the thermostat.

    02

    Bands Carry the Bag

The bag mouth is placed between two running sealing bands that feed it into the heating zone at a controlled speed.

    03

    Heat Softens the Film

The block clamps the mouth and transfers heat through the band until the film reaches its sealing range.

    04

    Wheel Rolls the Code

In the cooling zone the ink wheel presses the softened seam, bonding the layers and embossing the character set.

    Exclusive Diagram

Four Embossing Patterns from One Wheel Set

The same printing station produces a different surface every time the wheel is changed.

    01

    Grid

A cross-hatched pattern that gives a strong, tactile seam and clearly shows the bag has been sealed and closed.

    02

    Stripe

Even parallel lines running the length of the seam, suited to slim bags where a full grid would be too heavy.

    03

    Smooth

A flat, low-profile seal for retail packs where a clean appearance matters more than texture.

    04

    Alphanumeric

Digits and letters embossed directly into the seam for dates, batch numbers and serial codes.

Built for Bag Rooms That Code as They Close

Any operation that fills a film bag and needs a readable date on the seam can use the FRM-980LW as a standalone bench unit or as a station inside a longer packing line.

    • Food and snack packingBread, dried goods and frozen packs where the date must survive the cold chain.
    • Pharmaceutical and medicalLot and expiry codes embossed into the seal of film pouches and sachets.
    • Daily chemicalsSoaps, detergents and personal care refills coded at the sealing station.
    • Electronics and hardwareAnti-static bags and small components sealed and marked in one motion.

    FAQ

    FRM-980LW Questions

Yes. The FRM-980LW is a dual-purpose machine that seals with the bag running vertically or horizontally, so the same unit suits a bag standing on a conveyor or being fed flat.

The wheel set offers grid, stripe and smooth patterns, plus alphanumeric embossing for dates, batch codes and serial numbers. Character sets are changed by swapping the type wheel.

The standard sealing width is 10 mm, produced by the sealing band and the embossing wheel. A wider or narrower band can be specified when the bag material calls for it.

No. Bags are fed continuously through the band, so the sealing length is unlimited and long bags pass through in a single uninterrupted run.

Heating is digitally controlled across a 0-300 C range. Set the temperature to suit the film thickness and grade, then fine-tune the sealing speed to match.

Standard production takes about 5 working days. Air express adds roughly 4-6 working days, and the shipment is trackable end to end.

The machine carries a 2-year free warranty. If a component fails within that period we supply the replacement part free of charge and guide you through the fitting.
